As thoughtful and intentional stewards of our financial resources and in recognition of our position of power and economic and racial privilege, The Windy Pines Foundation is invested in supporting and resourcing BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, People of Color) leaders and BIPOC-serving organizations.

We commit to doing this through multi-year funding opportunities that foster and build equitable, authentic, and enduring relationships. We actively seek inclusive collaboration with leaders to build a culture of belonging that repairs and redistributes power back to BIPOC communities in Colorado with an emphasis on the Pikes Peak Region.

Our approach to grantmaking centers equity and inclusion in Colorado, and is grounded in five core tenets to ensure equitable access to resources.

By listening and honoring the experiences and expressed needs of our grantees, we commit to investing our resources to increase and expand the impact and presence of BIPOC leaders in Colorado with an emphasis on the Pikes Peak Region. “The Women's Community Leadership Initiative (WCLI) is grateful for the continued support of the Windy Pines Foundation, which has been instrumental in enabling us to achieve our goals. Without their assistance, WCLI would not have been able to continue as a program and be offered for free to our participants. The support of WPF has been pivotal—together, we will empower more women to lead and drive positive change in their communities.”
